Let the true Thousand Sons emerge!

Change is coming!

The Elect: a rogue Thousand Sons warband that honors mutation. They are known for enlisting the help of mutants, and making strange pacts with daemonic allies. It is rumored that The Elect hunt Ahriman, to exact vengeance and steal his magical knowledge.

Above are photos of my mutant beasts that stand in for Fenrisian Wolves, and then the vehicles for my army: 2 Rhinos, 2 Razorbacks, 2Predators, Vindicator, and a sculpted daemon Landspeeder stand-in.

I have two upcoming battle reports. One is in progress, featuring Tyranids vs. Ultramarines. The other is planned for a game I am playing Wednesday evening, debuting my Tzeencth “Space Wolves” vs. Fluger’s tournament Orks.

After much hemming and hawing I am going to try this incarnation of “The Elect.”:

  1. I don’t like having different predators like that, in particular…Power Weapon [in 5-man unit] could be dropped for extra points if going AC/LC.

I feel like the Dakkapred has stood the test of time. The AC / Las pred seems like a good points saving over the triple las.

I’ve been debating about dropping that wolf guard from the las razorback, since he would save me enough for 3.5 more wolves.

  2. Also, the vehicles look incredible. Is that DP an Epic LoC without the Wings?

    • chaosgerbil says:

Thanks, I was hoping someone would say that!!! The “DP” is actually a pewter model from another company, maybe Reaper, with a Reaper bird head from a different blister. He is on a 60mm base. I do have some epic scale LoC that I can show in future photos.

His stuff is even more amazing in person! Puts my crap paint jobs to shame! 😦

      • chaosgerbil says:

Thanks! You put my crap tactics to shame! That was probably the worst game I had in terms of not spacing out my models by the way, as if I was inviting those blast templates to rain down upon me.

        • fluger says:

To be fair, you didn’t really have a lot of space to maneouver. The board was congested with terrain (beautiful, beautiful terrain), and you kind of had to do what you had to do.

          • chaosgerbil says:

Yeah I knew I was overdoing it with all the terrain. I also wasn’t expecting corner setup which made my force even more congested.

I think not starting with the cavalry in reserve waas my main mistake, I had planned to do that against orks but kinda forgot. I also lacked a solid plan, and you brought the fight to me and made me play on your terms… which is what a good general does.

It just occured to me how completely ironic it is that you are using Space Wolf rules to represent Thousand Sons!
